Just a short post to say I’m back: I’ve been working on my university assignment in every spare moment, but it’s finally done! I’ve either knocked it out of the park or completely missed the point, and as my creative piece was in first person, when my favourite is third, I’m not 100% confident. I did edit it more than anything I’ve ever written though, with red pen at one point!
I’m frazzled and burnt out, so I’ll do a proper updates post in April and take a relaxed approach to March, focusing on reading, gaming, watching Netflix, cuddling Merlin, and catching up with blogging and emails 🙂

From the Amazon description:
‘Raena Barren was born with a secret: of all the magic users in the kingdom of Soma, she is the only one who can hide her power. As a child, she used this magic to help her survive on the streets–until she saved the life of a strange boy called Jorr Portent. He rewarded her with a job in the castle of Soma–and Raena spent the next ten years falling in love with him.
But while Raena’s life as a servant is sheltered, Jorr’s world is one of spies and assassins. When Raena comes of age, their paths will diverge forever… unless Raena can earn a place by his side. To become one of Jorr’s operatives, however, Raena must get to know her own body, and outsmart the deadly people around her. She must also sell her innocence to whatever man pays the most… even if that man can’t be Jorr.’

Next week it’s the Author Toolbox blog hop, where I’ll paraphrase my assignment and answer the question “How can we use our life experiences to improve our writing?” I might even include snippets from my creative assignment, if I dare to look at it for fear of spotting errors!
Till next time!
