Hey everyone!
Between university classes, reading, and workshops, and being gripped by the desire to work on my novel in every free moment, Sunday crept up on me. I was going to write a short story to post today, but every time I tried I got stuck, or I worked on Merlin: Second Chance instead, so I’m starting my Christmas blog break a week early this year!
I’ve been fighting the urge to work on my novel since classes started: I knew I’d have less time for it, but I wasn’t happy about it. Last week the muses won. I put off Christmas preparations, short stories, and assignment planning to fit in novel writing, and I feel very disorganised!
The good news? There’s a lot of creative freedom for my university assignment. I can even write fantasy, so long as it’s based on real life experiences. What a relief! The bad news? Now I can write what I really want to, I’m spoilt for choice and inundated with ideas. I’ll pick one eventually, I just need time to stare blankly into space and mull it over, over Christmas!

Merlin’s looking forward to his first Christmas. He loves the advent calendar we got him with catnip treats. I’ll let you know how he gets on with the Christmas tree in the New Year!
Happy Holidays everyone, and I’ll see you again in 2020!
Have a wonderful break. I will also be taking one in about a week.

Thanks π I have a suspicion the catnip makes him hyperactive, but he enjoys it and runs to me every time I show him the calendar!
